Who I am and why I have this blog

Hello. My name is Sister Coyne. I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Some of you may know me and some of you may not. Either way, I hope you feel welcome in my humble a-blog (or abode). I thought about how busy life can become with all of its demands. I wanted to create a blog that would be beneficial in some way.  I know that you don't have time to sit down and read a long blog, nor do you wish to sit down and read a boring blog.  My goal is to not have a robotic blog that spurts out information that one could easily find or look up on their own.  Instead, this blog is intended for the every day user.  Someone once told me, "That which is most personal is that which is most universal". That really stuck out to me.  Nobody is going to gain anything from me regurgitating things that you already know.  I won't even gain anything from that. Instead, I hope to share those things that are most personal to me.  Yes, I guess in a sense I am inviting you to read my public journal; to see the world through my eyes for a brief moment. This may be a bit unconventional for a missionary, but I am willing to try it out.  I want you to know that even as a missionary, who serves to be a personal representative of Jesus Christ, I am by no means perfect.  I need the Savior just as much as any individual does.  I hope that you, as the reader, can join me on this monumental missionary journey. Please feel free to put yourself in my shoes. Please feel free to ponder what you would have done. I invite you to find something in this blog that could somehow help you on the journey of life; and if not, I hope that you at least enjoyed reading about the life of a missionary.

Oh, and for those who don't know what I do as a missionary, here's an overview:

I have dedicated a year and a half of my life to sharing a message of great importance and joy. I paid (and do not get paid) to work from 6:30 am- 10:30 pm, 7 days a week.  As a missionary, I spend 2 hours studying the scriptures daily (The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ among other things). I then spend the rest of my day serving, helping and teaching others.  We do not push, but rather, invite others to come unto Christ and to learn more about His restored Gospel on the earth again today. I have found a lot of peace and happiness through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it has helped me tremendously in my life.  I guess you could say that I want to pay it forward.  My life was changed forever by missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and now I hope to somehow bring hope into the lives of all those who are interested in learning more.  Some say that this is the best year and a half OF your life, but I've come to see how this is the best year and a half FOR my life.
